Recipe for El Torito Guacamole

This guacamole dip recipe is a combination of fresh ingredients which has been made popular by the El Torito Grill restaurant in San Diego, California, and other locations. Guacamole is commonly served with Spanish or Mexican main dishes and is exceptional as either a main dish component or simply a dip for appetizers like tortilla chips or vegetables. It's pretty basic to make guacamole, and only a handful of ingredients are required to actually make the recipe come to life. Any little change in the ingredient list can completely modify the flavour and texture of the guacamole to fit what it is being served on or with. This recipe for El Torito guacamole will serve roughly six people.

El Torito Guacamole Ingredients

2 avocados, 1/2 lime, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1 small chili pepper, halved and diced, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1/2 cup pico de gallo (recipe below), Pico De Gallo, 1/2 medium tomato, diced into small bits, 1/2 onion, finely chopped, 1 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped, 1/2 green onion, finely chopped, 1/2 tablespoon lime juice,

Instructions

1) Prepare pico de gallo by mixing all ingredients together inside a bowl. Refrigerate at least 1/2 hour before utilizing.

2) Cut the two avocados in half and remove the pit in the middle.

3) Working with a spoon, meticulously scoop out the meat of the avocado, leaving only the skin behind. Put the avocado into a medium sized container.

4) Squeeze the lime half into the avocado.

5) Add pepper and salt. Taste chili pepper to test hotness before adding to mixture. Add half of the diced chili pepper then taste the mixture again. Add remaining pepper as preferred.

6) Mash the mixture using a fork. Leave mix chunky if preferred, or mash till creamy. Be certain to crush the chili peppers.

7) Add garlic powder and 1/2 cup prepared pico de gallo. Fold carefully into mashed avocado mixture until combined.

This restaurant-style guacamole dip can be served on a plate alongside a main dish, on top of nachos or as dip for appetizers.

El Torito Guacamole Recipe Suggestions And Variations

Change up the recipe by adding different sorts of peppers or a dash of hot sauce to spice up the mixture. It could also be cooled down very easily with the addition of a little of sour cream. For those who do not have sufficient time to prepare fresh pico de gallo to use, the mixture may be located in retailers. Salsa is also an adequate alternative to pico de gallo in a pinch.
